Research progress on photoacoustic SF<sub>6</sub> decomposition gas sensor in gas-insulated switchgear

In the power industry, sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6 ) as an insulating gas is widely used in gas-insulated switchgears (GISs). Owing to latent inner insulation defects of GIS, various SF decompositions are generated process partial superheating and discharge (PD). The decomposition components concentrations different under PD types. A number sensors were reported for detection these decompositions. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) have been developed many applications owing their high sensitivity selectivity, such pollutant detection, industrial control, non-invasive medical diagnosis. Due physical constants being from that nitrogen (N 2 or air, sensor structure should be redesigned. detailed review four types PAS-based discussed compared.
